A Welcome Letter From Dr. Bielewicz

Dear Jefferson Families and Visitors:

Welcome to Jefferson Elementary! As the proud building principal, I am excited to share myself and my passion for Education with the incredible community of Mount Lebanon.  Throughout my own educational journey over the past 15+ years I have been fortunate to complete my Doctoral Studies in Educational Leadership/Supervision and two Master’s Degrees (the first where I earned my K-12 Principal's Certification, and the second focused on Counseling Education). 

As your principal, I promise to continuously ask the question "What is best for students?" which will, in turn, guide the decisions we make at our school.  My philosophy is based on the belief that all students can learn, and that it is every staff member's responsibility to create a positive, inviting, safe school climate where students feel valued, challenged, and empowered.  I am anxious to work with everyone in the community and to support a student-centered environment as we start this school year together.  We are so incredibly fortunate to serve in a career where we truly can make a difference to our students and the future we all will benefit from.  I regard relationships and communication as the building blocks of every success, and welcome you to become a partner in all that Jefferson has to offer!
